Joy Is Efficient & Dynamic is E5's second studio album recorded in Wellington's Boardroom and at the NZSM. It is comprised of recent original compositions with improvised tracks of throat singing and Taonga Puoro.

Our music is identifiably New Zealand in the Modern Jazz genre. We pride ourselves on a fresh approach to improvised music with lyrical, listenable themes. The band works on being highly interactive throughout the album and provides an interesting live performance, which can be heard in Music festivals throughout New Zealand.
